Shopping Tips From The Locals

Where are the best places to shop and when are the best times to visit?
We asked some of our residents for their best tips.
George Town
“Most people say to go downtown when there are no cruise ships in port, but I personally love the hustle and bustle, not to mention meeting local celebrities like our “dancing Policeman”

“It’s nice to have town all to yourself on non-cruise ship days, but I also love to shop while they tender out and have dinner watching them sail into the sunset”
“Make sure to check out the Craft Market in George Town for local treasures. The Craft Market can be found to the south of George Town Shopping District and is open from Mon-Fri 8:30am-3pm.”
“When you go to town it’s best to take a taxi or public bus as parking can be tricky.”

Camana Bay
“I love Wednesdays at Camana Bay for the Farmer’s and Artisan Market. (You can find the market stalls on The Paseo at Camana Bay every Wednesday from 12 noon.”

“Download the Camana Bay Event’s app on your smartphone and stay up to date on all events and special offers.”
“If you don’t want to miss a day at the beach, but still want to shop, all stores are open late at Camana Bay on a Thursday. Spend a few hours shopping and then end your evening at one of the many restaurants on the waterfront.”
“Don’t forget to explore the hotel boutiques as you can often find treasures that are not found in other locations. Locally handmade stuffed toys available at Seafire Supply Co at Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa.”
